Bengal Extra Weft Tangail Saree

Bengal Tangail saree is known for using finer count yarn & decorated with extra warp designs using coloured yarn.Wweavers normally use 80s to 100s cotton yarn with higher reed count of 72s to 76s. The texture is generally high and compact and sized yarn is used both in warp and weft. The saree is woven with figured motifs in plain ground, with designs of extra warp in border and extra weft in body portion.
