Salem Silk Dhotis are produced from time immemorial by the local traditional weaving community known as “Sourashtra” Community. The Salem Venpattu Dhoti is a GI Registered Product. The Silk dhotis of Salem are justly famed for their lustre, whiteness, technical excellence and novelty of border designs.
