The raw materials that is used in this silk wool shawl are natural fibres that include silk (mostly tasar & mulberry) and wool yarn (Himalayan merino).
The silk yarn is produced locally by the Devbhumi artisans residing in the remote Himalayan villages using the spinning machine called 'Paletha' to produce silk yarn from the cocoons.
This natural yarn is than hand-dyed using the natural and eco friendly Azo free colors, this dyed and dried yarn is than made into small rolls of yarn using a warping drum, now that the yarn is ready to be weaved into products.
